Ivyland, PA – American Governor Company (AGC) was recently selected by WE Energies and Black & Veatch to provide voltage regulator replacements, governor upgrades, new digital relay and metering cubicles, and a new plant control system at the Peavy Falls Hydro Plant. The project was jointly developed by the owner and Black & Veatch, the EPC Contractor. The award includes partnering with Basler and SEL for the AVR and Protection equipment. Our project scope is truly a “Balance of Plant” solution for this long-time AGC customer.
The Peavy Falls plant is on the Michigamme River near Crystal Falls, Michigan, was constructed in 1943, and featured Woodward Mechanical Cabinet Actuators on each of its two (2) 8MW units.
