Ivyland, PA – American Governor Company (AGC) has been awarded a contract with Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority for a turnkey retrofit of Kaw Hydro’s Woodward Mod II Governor System. The Ponca City, Oklahoma hydroelectric plant began commercial operation in September 1989 and generates approximately 104 GW hours of energy each year. As part of the retrofit project, AGC will provide a Digital Governor System including 3D Cam Controls, along with EHI Conversions for the Gate and Blade Valves maximizing unit operating efficiency. Following delivery of hardware in May 2014, AGC will provide installation, commissioning, and start up services followed by in-depth training on the upgraded system.
