Ivyland, PA – American Governor Company (AGC) has been awarded a contract with New Brunswick Power to retrofit the second of three Woodward 517 Digital Controllers. Beechwood Generation Station, is one of seven hydroelectric dams operated by New Brunswick Power on the Saint John River and has a capacity of 113 MW.
Beechwood’s original governors were converted to Woodward Governor 517 systems using standard Cabinet Actuator control valves, furnished in dry-sump enclosures. Our major supply items will include a new PLC Governor, HMI, PT Interface, EHI, LVDT, MLDT, and of course, AGC Governor Software. The contract award includes estimated startup and commissioning. Delivery of equipment is scheduled for late summer and commissioning will occur by December 2018.
