Ivyland, PA – American Governor Company (AGC) was awarded a Consulting Services Contract to develop the design and specification to retrofit an unsupported Neyrpic governor for Nalcor Energy‘s Beeton Hydro. This project will follow successful AGC-Digital installations at the old Abitibi-Grand Falls Mill. This mill was acquired by Nalcor, and is included in their Exploits River plant group. The Beeton Unit is included within the Grand Falls Mill in Newfoundland. This single 31MW unit was commissioned in September 2003 and its OEM-furnished governor is no longer supported. Site review and inspection are scheduled for late May 2014, and Nalcor will tender the governor RFQ in July/August for the late 2014 installation.
