  Focus Workshop: Woodward Gateshaft

September 21-23, 2021

Reacting to customers’ requests for smaller factory training classes that concentrate on a single governor type, American Governor is pleased to offer a Focus Workshop exclusively covering the Woodward Gateshaft Governor. No matter what your level of experience with governors, this two-day intensive workshop will enhance your knowledge of this governor type. Because Focus Workshops feature more hands-on time and less classroom time, they are ideal for governor technicians responsible for tuning, adjusting, and troubleshooting governors to increase their skills.

Our trainers have decades of experience building, calibrating and repairing Woodward governors, their oil pressure systems, and auxiliaries. Our Training and Repair Center features working examples of a Woodward Gateshaft Governor and 20 Series Gear Pump. Real-world problems will be introduced into the governor and attendees will be challenged as a group to find and correct them. Our Dashpot Lab provides participants individualized hands-on training in the maintenance and adjustment of this key component. These intensive troubleshooting sessions, combined with smaller class size, are what make Focus Workshops a successful and effective training tool for your maintenance crew.

Intense Concentration – Narrow Focus
Our Woodward Gateshaft Focus Workshop provides in-depth hands-on training on Gateshaft Governor topics, including:

20 Series Oil Pumping System Concepts are also included.
