Focus Class - Mechanical Cabinet Actuators September 25, 26, & 27, 2012 In response to customer requests for smaller factory training classes that concentrate on a single governor type, we are pleased to offer a Focus Class on the Woodward Mechanical Cabinet Actuator. Following successful Mechanical Cabinet Actuator Focus classes in 2010 and 2011, we have added a third day to this informative workshop to provide for even more hands on experience with our live demos. Starting in 2012, attendees will spend more time solving real world problems entered into our Mechanical Cabinet Actuator simulator along with more hands on calibration training and more one-on-one time with instructors. Whether you are an experienced governor mechanic or an apprentice technician, this three-day intensive workshop will enhance your knowledge of this governor type. Focus Classes feature more hands-on time and less classroom time, so they are ideal for governor technicians who are responsible for tuning, adjusting and troubleshooting governors. Hands on Experience PMG Valve Cutaway Our trainers have decades of experience building, calibrating and repairing Woodward governors, oil systems and auxiliaries, and our Training and Repair Center features working examples of a Woodward Mechanical Cabinet Actuator and Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG), and cutaway examples of a Pilot/Distributing Valve, PMG and XX Herringbone Gear Pump. Real-world problems will be introduced into the governor, and attendees will be challenged as a group to find and correct them. These intensive troubleshooting sessions, combined with smaller class size, are what make Focus Classes so effective as a training tool for your maintenance crew. A Focus Class in progress.
